How You Can Correct and Update your BVN Information
In this article, I will be sharing with you “How You Can Correct and Update your BVN Information“, but first of all, I believe we all know what a BVN is, what it means and its purpose? then if not;
BVN means Bank Verification Number which is a biometric identification system introduced by the CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) to curb and reduce illegal banking transactions in Nigeria. It is a modern security measure in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria Act 1958 to reduce fraud in the banking system.
The system works by recording your fingerprints and a facial photograph of the client along with your full details.
As the Image above implies that, to check your BVN number dial *565*0# on all networks, just in case you do not know it, remember or in need of it for an emergency.
Now back to the main body of this article which is “How You Can Correct and Update your BVN Information“.
***Note that you as an individual can’t have access to your BVN database as CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) has made it known to the public that only the Commercial Banks are given access to the BVN database of their customers.
So, therefore, if you have any mistake or errors in our BVN details during the process of registration, you can correct, update or change the provided information only by going to the bank where you have registered for the BVN.
