The Apple Watch Series 4 packs a stunning new display with an edge-to-edge curved display is over 30 percent larger with a resolution of 384 x 480 to perfectly match the shape of the watch.
The watch is powered by the next-generation S4 chip with a custom 64-bit dual-core processor and the U.I of the Apple Watch Series 4 has been re-designed to take advantage of the larger display. It allows the users to customizable the watch display by adding contacts to watch face for one-tap access and can also change back and forth between faces for different times during your day.
The digital crown is of the watch now includes haptic feedback features, while the speakers are 50% louder optimized for phone calls, Siri and Walkie-Talkie and the Mic is also moved to the other side to reduce the echo.
With the newly advanced gyroscope built in, the Watch can now detect when you fall. If the watch should sense that you fell, it will give you an option to call emergency services and if the watch should detect that you are immobile, it will automatically place the call for you and even alert your family.
The Apple Watch Series 4 is also equipped with some new sensors which include an Electrical heart rate sensor that can take an Electrocardiogram (ECG) using the new ECG app.
It can also classify if the heart is beating in a normal pattern or whether there are signs of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition that could lead to major health complications. All recordings, their associated classifications and any noted symptoms are stored in the Health app in a PDF that can be shared with physicians.
The Apple Watch Series 4 has an 18-hour battery life and comes in three color options of silver, gold, and space grey.
The Watch will be available for order as from September 14th, it will cost $399 for the GPS edition and $499 for the GPS + Cellular edition.
Meanwhile, Apple will begin the roll-out of the iOS 12, HomePod and tvOS 12 with Atmos and Watch OS 5.0 update from September 17th through an OTA (Over-The-Air) updates and will be free to install.
